2020 was a year that took all of our traditional plans and turned them upside down! Countless weddings were rescheduled and even cancelled. So when Katie approached me in early 2021 about capturing her and fiancée's wedding portraits before they "officially" tied the knot at the courthouse of COURSE I jumped at the chance.
"“Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.” - Brené Brown
This session was full of anticipation and so much joy! The love Katie and Zach have for each other was truly palpable during our time together. Although life kept throwing curve balls their way, Katie knew one thing: she just wanted to have pictures to capture their love! It didn't have to look perfect they just wanted to celebrate being together. The Little Chapel in the Woods and the TWU Gardens was the perfect location to capture a "Wedding day" feel without the pressure of onlookers or family. We adventured down to the lily pond and greenhouse for more playful portraits that captured this couples sense of adventure.
